Recruiting and Caring for Volunteers
Managing volunteers can be
one of the most challenging aspects of being a
children's pastor. This will be a featured
topic for the Interact
Session.

Self-Leadership
Become a leader that people
want to follow! Find out what disciplines a
successful leader has. Self-Leadership
will be a topic in The Buzz
session. Learn from other successful leaders as
they share what self-leadership looks like.

Mentoring and Releasing Your Team
Some of the keys to
building a powerful team is building
relationships with them, mentoring them, and
releasing them to ministry. Find out from active
children’s leaders who are already practicing
this. Mentoring and Releasing Your Team will be
a featured topic in the
10-Spot. Alton
Garrison will be leading this session.

Conflict Management
Conflict can be like going
to the dentist—it can be unpleasant, but it is
necessary to maintain good health. Conflict
Management will be one of the 10 topics in
10-Spot. Here you'll learn from a
seasoned veteran of children's ministry on how
to deal with conflict in a constructive way that
produces positive results.

Milestones and Hurdles of A Leader
Longevity in children’s
ministry is a good thing! Each year, working in
a church contains its own set of milestones.
Some are good; some not-so-good. Find out from
veteran children’s pastors what these milestones
are and how to identify them, and learn how to
overcome challenges and roadblocks. This topic
is featured in the Interact Session and
is designed as a roundtable discussion with a
small group of leaders. Bring your questions and
challenges and tackle them together.

Prioritizing Your Ministry
There never seems to be
enough time to fit everything in. Time
management is an important tool that every
leader should practice. And mastering it helps a
leader become more effective and enjoy greater
results. Part of Interact
Session, this
topic will be explored in a large-group setting
with leaders who will help pinpoint the most
important time management principles.

Risk Management and General Questions
Bring your concerns and
questions about risk management in children’s
ministry. A specially assembled panel of
children’s leaders will be on hand to provide
important information, answer questions and
address concerns. This session will be a mix of
small-group, roundtable discussions as well as
educated input from the panel. Risk
management and General Questions are part of
the Interact Session.

How to Build a Family Ministry
It's important to build a
family ministry that impacts children and
parents. How do you build an effective family
ministry? What works in the traditional
structure? How do you encourage your senior
pastor to embrace the idea of breaking ground in
developing family ministry? Find out if
family ministry is a passing fad or here to
stay. All of these questions and more will be
discussed during the roundtable

communicating with adults can be a challenge.
Learn how to implement effective strategies and
operate strong communication tools in this
session. Communicating With Clarity will be
covered in The 10-Spot general session and will
